From session to signed sheet

Create a track and invite everyone who was in the room — by email or by finding their existing profile.

Add credits: writers, producers, session musicians and their instruments, so the contribution list is complete before you talk numbers.

Set the splits. Everyone with access sees the same percentages, and the total is checked as you type.

Generate the agreement as a PDF, sign it in the app, or mark it signed outside the app if you did it on paper.

Keep it. The split sheet stays attached to the track through release, rights registration and your catalog.

Split sheet questions
- What is a music split sheet?
- A split sheet is a short written record of who contributed to a song and what percentage each person owns. It names the writers and producers, lists their shares, and is signed by everyone involved — so the ownership question is settled while memories are still fresh.
- When should we fill one out?
- At the session, or as soon after as you can manage. Splits are easy to agree on the day and hard to reconstruct months later when a song suddenly needs registering.
- What belongs on it?
- The song title, the date, each contributor's full legal name and role, their percentage share, their rights-society affiliation and membership number where they have one, and a signature line for each person.
- Does a split sheet replace registering the song?
- No. It's the agreement your registrations are based on. You still register your publishing shares with your society and your recording with the neighbouring-rights side — the split sheet is what tells you the numbers to enter.
